In the framework of Transatlantic Policy Forum (TAPF), EUROPEUM Institute for European policy and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung organized an international conference “TRANSATLANTIC RELATIONS 2009– A CHANCE FOR A FRESH START?”, which took place at the Congress Centre U Hájků , Na Poříčí 42, Prague 1 on 28th May 2009. The aim of the conference was to discuss the current state of transatlantic relations and recommendations for their improvement in the near future. Four policy papers, developed by leading EU and US experts, focusing on Trade, Energy and Climate Change, Democracy Promotion and EU Neighborhood, were presented and served as a starting point for the discussion. The conference was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States. Conference media partner is EurActiv.cz.
