Vladimír Bartovic

Vladimir Bartovic (1980) graduated in international trade and international politics at the University of Economics, Prague, Faculty of International Relations. He studied also at Universidad de Granada, Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. He is a PhD candidate at the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. From 2000 till 2002 he worked as an editor in the ‘Integrace’ magazine. He co-operated with OSCE election missions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Kosovo. Main areas of expertise: EU institutional issues, EU Enlargement with focus on Western Balkans, Slovak foreign and domestic policy and economic issues.

Tereza Hořejšová

Tereza Hořejšová studied European Studies at the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. Currently, she is a PhD. student of this department. In 2002 she became a correspondent for Integrace magazine from Denmark. Since September 2002 she has been a vice editor-in-chief of Integrace. During 2004 she coordinated a project "Central European NGOs Contributing to the European Constitution Debate". From January 2005 until Apríl 2006 she was a coordinator and editor-in-chief of EurActiv.cz policy portal, of which EUROPEUM is a content provider. She led the project „I am a European Citizen. How Can I Learn about My Rights“ in 2005. Tereza spent three terms at the Institute of Political Science, Copenhagen University. Her main field of interest is the politics of Scandinavian countries (with particular focus on Denmark and Sweden) and their attitude to European integration.

Zuzana Kasáková

Zuzana Kasáková graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, in West-European Studies. At present she is a PhD student there. She also attended summer schools at University of Cambridge (1999) and University of Edinburgh (2000). In the academic year 2000/2001 she studied at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Glasgow. Her main areas of interest are British (especially Scottish) politics, regional policy and EU structural funds. She has been working as editor of the Integrace magazine (Member and Candidate countries) since September 2003.

David Král

David Král graduated from the Law Faculty at Charles University. He has been the chairman of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy since 2000 where he also serves as the director of EU policies programme. He lectures at the University of Public Administration and International Relations in Prague, and previously lectured at Charles University – Faculty of Social Sciences. He is a certified trainer in EU modules for public administration. During the work of the Convention on the Future of Europe and the Intergovernmental Conference 2003/2004 he was a member of advisory groups of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister. He is a member of the Board of PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society), gathering think-tanks and policy institutes from Central and Eastern Europe and Newly Independent States. His main areas of expertise in Europeum include the EU reform and Constitutional Treaty, EU enlargement, EU external relations, Common Foreign and Security Policy and EU policy of Freedom, Security and Justice.

Tomáš Nigrin

Tomáš Nigrin studied German and Austrian studies at the Institute of International Studies, Charles University. In 2003/2004 he studied political sciences and history at Freie Universität Berlin. In 2005/2006 he attended one year fellowship at "Studienkolleg zu Berlin" at Academy of Science in Berlin supported by The German National Academical Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and the Hertie-Foundation (Hertie-Stiftung) and also studied modern history at Humboldt University in Berlin. Currently, he is PhD. student at the Institute of International Studies, Charles University and his focus are the German speaking countries and their position in the european integration process.

Prof. PhDr. Lenka Rovná CSc.

Lenka Rovná, Doc. PhDr., CSc. has been since 1999 professor at the Department of West European Studies and the head of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies (the first one in Central/Eastern Europe), vice - dean for Public Relations, Charles University, Faculty of Social Sciences. She wrote a book "Prime Minister of Her Majesty: A Decade of Thatcherism in Great Britain" and "History of Canada" published in 2000 by the Publishing House Lidové noviny. In near future the publication: "Who Governs Britain?" will come on the market. She deals with Canadian history and political system and with the current issues of the European Union. In 2002, she was appointed the Government alternate to the Convention on the Future of Europe.

Vera Rihackova graduated from the Faculty of Social Science, Charles University, in International Relations and from Faculty of Humanities of the Charles University in Prague. She also studied political science at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001-2002 and attended the Fulbright–US State Department Programme on US National Security and Foreign Policy Post 9/11, at the Institute of Global Conflict and Cooperation, University of California, San Diego, in January–February 2006. She is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Charles University, Prague. She is an in-house research fellow at EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, focusing on EU institutional reform, European Neighbourhood Policy and Security and Counterterrorism. Before that, she worked as the editor-in-chief of www.integrace.cz in 2002-2003.
