Access to Information Relating to EU Structural Funds and Implementation System in Czech Republic

This study is a follow-up of the international project “Save Public Assets” managed by the Latvian Center for Public Policy PROVIDUS. Within this project the team of researchers (Radomír Špok and Zuzana Kasáková) from the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy elaborated on the Czech national report assessing the implementation system of EU structural funds from the perspective of transparency and openness. The research focuses on selected regions and grant schemes under the Joint Regional Operational Programme. The first part of the report analyses the perception of successful and unsuccessful applicants for EU funds on the selection process and distribution of public resources. The second part concentrates on the access to information relating to all aspects of the selection process of the projects. The last part is devoted to an analysis of political alliances and their possible impact on the decision-making process of EU structural funds.
