July 7 - July 19, 2012 - Prague, Czech Republic
Housing / Meals
Meals
Meals will include breakfast, served in the hotel premises, as well as lunch. Students will have to make their own dinner arrangements. Students have several options for meals. There are many options for fast food, including international chains and lots of other restaurants. However, we also advise you to try traditional Czech food. Food in the Czech Republic is delicious and reasonably priced (an average meal with main dish, side dish, drink, and tip costs around 8-10 EUR / 11-14 USD). A variety of dining options surround the Institute's classroom building and there are a number of excellent restaurants around the Old Town square. There is a supermarket located nearby the classrooms.
Housing
Students will be staying in the Bohemians hotel in Praha Podoli, Modranska street 51. The hotel is located directly on
the Vltava riverfront in a peaceful part of the city surrounded by greenery. Thanks to its location, the hotel can provide
easy and comfortable access to the downtown and all sights. From the hotel, you can reach the city centre in only 12 minutes, on a sightseeing tram ride along the Prague riverfront. The hotel has 23 double rooms all
equipped with stylish furniture, a bathroom with toilet and a television with satellite channel.
The ESS staff will assign roommates so that students from the
same country are not put together in one room in order to promote cross-cultural exchange. There are many leisure time possibilities in the closest
neighbourhood of the hotel. Convenient day and night transportation to downtown Prague is also located near the hotel.
