Our deputy director Martin Michelot talks to Rádio Slovensko about the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in France. Although the attention is primarily drawn to the presidential election, the parliamentary elections in June are not any less important. France is facing political paralysis if the head of state won't be able to realize the political program due to the opposition from the parliament.

Prezidenta si Francouzi volí přímo. Je skutečným politickým lídrem: jmenuje premiéra, který je v čele vlády. Je mimořádně důležité pro prezidenta a vládu, aby měli většinu v parlamentu. To se podařilo současnému prezidentu Hollandovi. Proto 80 % návrhů zákonů dostalo zelenou.

[Emmanuel Macron se] nepojí s žádnou stranou, ani s levicí, ani s pravicí. Chce na politickou scénu přinést něco nové. Aby získal většinu v parlament, vláda by musela být složena i z levicových i pravicových sil. Aby zákon prošel, musí se s nimi dohodnout.

Parlament by její [Marine Le Pen] vládě nemusel vyjádřit důvěru a to ani napodruhé. Navíc pokud by i zastavila vládu, kterou by Národní shromáždění schválilo, měla by problém se schválením svých zákonů.
