We invite you to a public recording of the Café Evropa podcast: two years since the invasion: what's next for Ukraine? The recording will take place on Wednesday, 21 February 2024 at 17:30 at Langhans - Kavárna a Centrum Člověka v tísni, Vodičkova 37, Prague.
Ukraine has been resisting the Russian invasion for two years. Meanwhile, the world media has been full of bad news about the fighting - the Ukrainian army continues to lack ammunition, the promised deliveries of Western weapons have been delayed, and the summer Ukrainian counter-offensive has not produced the expected results. The upcoming US presidential election is also adding uncertainty to the situation. Meanwhile, solidarity with Ukraine is declining in the Czech Republic and less than half of society supports further government aid. What do these developments mean for Ukraine and for Czech security interests? And how might it translate into further EU aid? Come and discuss this at a debate and simultaneous public recording of the Café Evropa podcast.
