Deník N | Fico spent less than an hour with Trump. The photos show how the visit unfolded.

Martin Vokálek, an analyst at the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, warns that Fico also discussed with Trump the possible involvement of the US in the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Slovakia, which he believes poses a risk given Trump's unpredictability. He points out that such an agreement could bind Slovakia in the long term and at the same time weaken the unified European position towards the United States.
"Personally, I don't understand Prime Minister Fico, who negotiates such long-term cooperation and long-term contracts, which are in Slovakia's fundamental security and energy interests, with Donald Trump, who changes his opinions from day to day. One day he shakes your hand and pats you on the shoulder, and the next day he starts publicly criticizing you, imposing tariffs on you, or, in the worst case, threatening you with military force. It is simply irrational to enter into long-term agreements with such a person," says Vokálek.
