Low-emission materials for the Czech automotive industry

The Low Emission Materials for the Czech Automotive Industry project is the fifth EUROPEUM project aimed at decarbonising the Czech automotive industry. The aim of the project for 2024/2025 is to improve understanding of material flows and regulatory barriers in the automotive sector; to transfer best practices from the international context to the Czech environment; and to identify key areas of Czech and European policies that need to be improved to enable the automotive industry to meet the challenges of decarbonisation and remain competitive.

This project aims to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s NATO accession, which occurred on March 12, 1999. Anchored in the historic context of NATO’s formation on April 4, 1949, the primary goals of the campaign are to celebrate this significant milestone, effectively communicate the tangible benefits of Czech NATO membership to the public and cultivate a deeper understanding of NATO and U.S.’s pivotal role in safeguarding the nations and Central and Eastern European security. Additionally, the project’s goal is to underscore the strength and benefits of the U.S.-Czech partnership.

At the same time, it provides an in-depth analysis of transport availability, accessibility, and affordability, while exploring sustainable mobility trends, innovations, and policy pathways that can strengthen long-term resilience.

JustGreen

JustGreen project aims to engage the V4 citizens in debates and other forms of public engagement around decarbonization in three areas that are intimately linked to their everyday lives: housing, transport, and the job market. The public engagement activities, along with the ancillary research, shall pinpoint specific obstacles citizens and communities encounter when implementing climate-friendly steps or adapting to the EU decarbonization policies.

EngagEU - Zapojse.eu

The EngagEU (Zapojse.eu) project aims to promote citizens' involvement in the issues of green transformation and post-pandemic recovery of Europe by creating a space for their active participation in an open discussion on key issues for the European Union and the Czech Republic. Through an interactive web-based environment, it offers the general public the opportunity to gain an understanding of the European Parliament, its work and current activities that have an impact on the daily lives of citizens. The project is implemented by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy and with the support of the European Parliament.

Café Evropa a Café Evropa in regions

The long-successful format of the Café Evropa debate has been running since 2015. The aim is to mediate discussions on European issues and the position of the Czech Republic in the EU to the general public. The discussing guests of Café Evropa are experts on the issue and representatives of European and Czech institutions. Since 2017, debates have been held not only in Prague but also in the Czech regions.

Prague European Summit

The project is co-organized by the Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM and Institute of International Relations, Prague, and every year many experts on the EU topics attend the Summit.

European Summer School (ESS)

It is organized by one of the leading think tanks in Prague, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy under the auspices of the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and in cooperation with Prague College and Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University.

The EU± project - a platform for discussions on topics related to current EU issues in the eyes of the young generation – takes place since the beginning of 2018. In the next year, we continue with debates on topics such as Euroscepticism, Brexit, V4, Erasmus +, work abroad, the situation in the Western Balkans, migration, cybersecurity, the Czech Republic within the EU or fake news and misinformation.

In May 2020, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, in cooperation with the STEM Institute of Empirical Research (project initiator), the Association for International Affairs (AMO) and Europe in Data portal, launched the Czech Interests in the EU project. It aims to explain to the Czech public how Czechs influence politics in Europe, and to examine whether politicians in Europe really promote Czech interests.

Supporting media freedom in Serbia in relation to the EU accession process

We are delighted to announce the launch of a project focused on support for independent Serbian journalists reporting on Serbia’s EU integration process, its obstacles in the field of democratic governance, and the rule of law and fundamental rights and freedoms, including the freedom of media. The project is supported by the Transition Promotion Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and implemented together with the Centre for Contemporary Politics from Serbia.

Transatlantic Policy Forum (TAPF) is a closed-door summit for decision-makers and opinion-formers co-organised by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy with partners. TAPF has been held in Prague every Autumn since 2018 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
