EUROPEUM Institute analyst Alexandr Lagazzi spoke in the program Studia ČT24 about the summit between the European Union and China, which dealt with mutual future relations and economic ties. The conflict in Ukraine was the main topic of discussion on the EU side. It was China's hesitant stance and reaction to economic sanctions against Russia that was addressed, as well as China's rejection of NATO.

Climate policy expert and a research fellow at the EUROPEUM Institute for European policy Kateřina Davidová spoke with iRozhlas on the issue of global warming in connection with the new deal, which was agreed upon by almost 200 countries at a climate conference in Glasgow.

Our researchers Jana Juzová and Katharine Klačanský have written a background paper on EU relations with the Eastern Neighbourhood countries, in which they answer three specific questions. Should the EU continue to approach the Eastern Partnership group as a whole, or should it diversify its approach more? Should the EU develop a specific green strategy for the Eastern Neighbourhood countries and, if so, on what principles? How can the EU counter the influence of other powers (Russia, China, possibly Turkey) working against EU interests in the Eastern Neighbourhood?

On 22 December the Think Visegrad in Brussels represented by Brussels Office of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy held an online round table, where many aspects on the cooperation between European Union and the Asian continent were analysed. The roundtable covered themes such as economical prosperity, technological advancements and the primary goals of and the role played by Central-Eastern European countries.

On Saturday, September 7, we organised a workshop "Overcoming Dividing Lines in Europe" at Jubel - European Democracy Festival. There we discussed what divides Europe and Europeans. The output of this workshop will be included in the festival's manifesto, which will then be sent to the European institutions. Now we bring you our report from the event.
