The Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM would like to invite you to another debate from the Café Evropa online series, this time on the topic of an economic restart. The debate is organized by the European Commission in the Czech Republic, the Office of the European Parliament, and the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy. The media partner of the debate is Deník.cz. The debate will take place on Monday 24 May from 5.30 pm on Facebook Café Evropa.

In the new EU MONITOR, our Associate Research Fellow Zuzana Stuchlíková writes, for example, what is the final structure and what topics will be discussed at the Conference on the Future of Europe.

Our research fellow Jana Juzová commented on the current situation in the Balkans for Info.cz. In her article, our researcher explains the tense situation which escalated after two non-papers were published, concerning the possible redistribution of territories and border changes in the Western Balkans.

Our Associate Research Fellow Katarína Svitková wrote another article in the new EUROPEUM publication series: 2021–2027 Horizon Europe. In her policy brief, Katarína focuses on the revival of the cultural industry after the pandemic.

In her policy paper, our research assistant Rose Hartwig-Peillon addresses the issue of granting citizenship and residency. Hartwig-Peillon calls for a major redesign of the existing programs and for an EU-wide debate on the schemes at the occasion of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

Our institute is a guarantee of the National Convention on EU Affairs on the topic of Strategic autonomy of the European Union, which will take place online on Friday 21 May.

Our Associate Research Fellow Katarína Svitková has written the third article of the new publication series EUROPEUM: 2021–2027 Horizon Europe. In her policy brief, Katarína focuses on the issue of education, which, like many other sectors, underwent a fundamental change during the pandemic. She also presents the Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education program.

Our Associate Research Fellow Zuzana Stuchlíková commented on the Conference on the Future of Europe and its expectations for the EURACTIV server.

Experts from our Prague Climate Talks series, which consists of expert debates focusing on climate change, commented on what current US climate policy looks like and what changes the new office of President Biden will bring. They also focused on what this means for the European Union and other countries.
