The Visegrad countries are facing enormous Russian disinformation pressure aimed at breaking popular support for aid to Ukraine. If Ukraine were to lose Western support, it would most likely lose the war, which is why Russian disinformation aims to end this support. Writes Dorka Takatsy in her policy paper.

Decarbonization of the Czech automotive industry
After the successful delivery of last year’s project focused on the decarbonization of the Czech automotive industry, the climate team of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy leads its second round. This time, the project aims to use already acquired knowledge, contacts and resources to help create a conducive environment for discussion between the representatives of the industry and the public sector. It will also contribute to our understanding of the decarbonization pathways through evidence-based research. Lastly, the project aims to raise social awareness about the challenges and opportunities presented by the transition of the automotive industry by organizing events and media briefings. This year’s project will be shaped by the Czech Presidency of the European Council in the second half of the year.

The author of the brief, Agata Łoskot-Strachota, focuses on the current market crisis, which has raised questions about the role of gas in the decarbonisation process, as well as the cost and security of supply, and highlights the need for a common gas strategy that is in line with the objectives of the Green Deal, but also responds to short-term challenges.

Autorka článku, Agata Łoskot-Strachota, se v textu zaměřuje na současnou krizi na trhu, která vyvolala otázky o úloze plynu v procesu dekarbonizace, jakož i o nákladech a bezpečnosti jeho dodáve, a zdůrazňuje potřebu společné strategie v oblasti plynu, která by byla v souladu s cíli Zelené dohody, ale zároveň reagovala na krátkodobé výzvy.
