The election result of Mayors and Independents significantly reduces Danuše Nerudová's chances of obtaining the nomination for the position of Czech European Commissioner. This is an internal coalition political dispute, so it will first be important to clarify who has the right to nominate someone for this position on behalf of the Czech Republic. However, this complicates matters because now, instead of focusing on the portfolio, we will need to address broader internal coalition conflicts.
