According to experts, the meeting of European politicians in Paris did not produce results that would indicate Europe's ability to play a major role in the negotiations on Ukraine. Martin Vokálek, executive director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for TN.cz.

It was the often overly forceful actions of Donald Trump and his administration that raised concerns among European states about whether a potential peace deal would be fair and sustainable. That is why European representatives are trying to find solutions that would ensure a just end to the war for Ukraine and security for the whole of Europe. It is good that politicians are responding to such a wake-up call.

Macron's conclusions are not yet specific enough and I believe that they will be elaborated in further negotiations, including in formats where the Czech Republic will be present.
