Our researchers Vít Havelka and Zuzana Kasáková, together with project manager Kristína Chlebáková, prepared a background paper on the territorial aspects of the internal market in the global competition. What are the current trends in international trade affecting the functioning of the EU internal market? What instruments should the European Union use in its trade policy and how to appropriately balance the priority emphasis on free trade with an emphasis on sustainability? What is the future of relations with European partners outside the European Economic Area?

Michal Hrubý, a research fellow from the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, has written a report on the development of the Czech automotive industry with regards to electromobility. In his research, he discusses its current state and possible decarbonisation in relation to transport emissions. The focus is mainly on the market for chargeable electric vehicles and two areas of interest - 1) decarbonisation of the transport sector and 2) maintaining the competitiveness of the Czech automotive industry.

In this report, she focuses not only on the current defense strategy of the EU and whether the present security and defense tools are effective or not, but she also addresses the question of creating a European Army and if it could help with achieving the goal of European strategic autonomy

Our intern Jana Záhořová wrote a report from the EU-Pacific Talks debate on: Japan - V4 relations - more Central European, but still European.

Our researcher Vít Havelka, in his article "New Sources of the EU Budget", which was created under the Think Visegrad in Brussels project, writes about the new own resources of the EU budget, which are currently being discussed at the European level. The text specifically discusses why the reform of own resources is necessary and what are the positions of the various EU institutions and member states on these proposals. It concludes with a reflection on the Czech position, including an outlook on how it might evolve depending on the course of the negotiations.

On November 18-19, 2021, the fourth edition of the Transatlantic Policy Forum took place. It was hosted by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy in partnership with the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the International Republican Institute (IRI), supported by the International Visegrad Fund, Friedrich Naumann Foundation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The aim of this Policy Paper is to provide a summary and analysis of the discussions that took place, while respecting the Chatham House rule and thus preserving the anonymity of the participants. This analysis aims to highlight and elaborate on the main findings of the participants.
