Report | Vision for the Czech Automotive Industry

On October 22, 2025, the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy held a roundtable discussion in Prague on the future of Czech Automotive Industry. The meeting of representatives from the sector, government, and research confirmed that despite European challenges, the Czech automotive industry remains in good shape, with record production of 1.45 million vehicles in 2024.

The discussion focused on strategically strengthening this key sector, identifying four main pillars for successful transformation: clean mobility, digitalization and autonomous driving, supply chain competitiveness, and energetics. Participants agreed that effective cooperation between industry, government, and academia, as well as the creation of a comprehensive strategy and coordination mechanism, are essential to ensure long-term success.

The program was as follows:

10:00 - 10:10 - Opening remarks and welcome by Monika Ladmanová, Head of the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic

10:10 - 10:30 - Introductory remarks by Marta Vojtová, Project Manager at LEEF Technologies, and Zdeněk Čechura, Director of the Foreign Affairs and EU Department at the Ministry of Transport

10:30 - 11:30 - Moderated discussion, led by Filip Křenek, project coordinator and analyst at the EUROPEUM Institute

11:30 - 12:00 - Informal networking, light catering
