ČRo Plus | New European defence spending

Certain politicians in the Union will certainly be tempted by the sweet voice of Donald Trump, but Europe should not accept this, because the only one who can represent the interests of all is the European Union. Donald Trump is deliberately trying to divide Europe. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for ČRo Plus.

Europe's strongest card is arming Ukraine and other aid, the stronger Ukraine gets, the less room to maneuver Russia and the US will have to push it on.

By cutting off aid to Ukraine, the current Donald Trump administration has deprived US defence firms of contracts; they will now be vigilantly looking for any other opportunities to make up the loss.
