ČT24 | Europe as a Task conference opened in Prague

President Petr Pavel opened the Europe as a Task conference, which is being held on the occasion of Europe Day and the 21st anniversary of the Czech Republic's accession to the EU. Viktor Daněk, Deputy Director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented on the theme of the conference directly from Prague Castle.

The result of the conference is to bring a slightly different way of thinking to the Czech environment, where similar voices are often heard. We have strong impression that we often close ourselves in simple ideological shortcuts and miss the broader global debate. I think that we need to be an active player, and not only at European level. The Czech Republic has all the prerequisites for this.
