ČT24 | MEPs approve all members of the new European Commission

The factions of the European Parliament approved all the candidates for the new European Commission. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of EUROPEUM Institute, commented for ČT24.

It will be very difficult for the Commission to find a majority in the European Parliament in many cases. (...) It appears that the European Parliament is even more divided than ever. On the other hand, the fact that, for the first time ever, none of the nominees were rejected by MEPs shows that MEPs are aware of the difficult situation the EU is in with the war on the continent, the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States and that this is no time for political games.
