ČT24: Revolt of the Wagner mercenaries

Our executive director Martin Vokálek commented for ČT24 on the rebellion of the mercenaries from Wagner's group.
24. June 2023

"It is important to see how the situation develops. In these situations, every hour makes a difference. It will come down to whether the situation will be resolved by the Russian regime within hours or within days, maybe weeks. Or maybe it won't be resolved at all and there will be some kind of gradual disintegration, it's all speculation. What is most important now, especially for the Russian regime, is to deal with this situation quickly. On the other hand, it is important for the Western states to continue to monitor the situation and to communicate with each other, and this is already happening. It will be important to continue to focus on what this situation means for Ukraine, as this could be one of the positives for the Ukrainian offensive."
