E15: EU responds to US superoffers. But it forgot about nuclear, experts wonder

Our senior research fellow Kateřina Davidová commented for E15 on two proposals to boost Europe's green economy.

"Specifically mentioned are innovative nuclear technologies such as small modular reactors. This is a compromise between France, which fought strongly for nuclear, and countries that do not use nuclear technology. From my point of view, it makes sense that nuclear will not enjoy the same advantages as the other eight strategic technologies. For example, the reduced administration and licensing processes for nuclear could jeopardise the safety of projects."
