Viktor Daněk, deputy director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for TN Live on the summit in Brussels, which focuses on competitiveness, defence and European unity. He also discussed the current security situation on the international scene.

The President of the European Commission presented a quite detailed and concrete plan on how to increase defence spending. I would say that this plan is going in the right direction, because it responds precisely to the weaknesses that the European Union has. Moreover, it is still looking for additional funding, within which it could still play a very important role.
