TN Live | President Duda Makes Final Foreign Visit in Prague

The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Czech Republic is primarily symbolic — it is his last foreign trip before the end of his term. At the same time, it sends a strong signal both to the public and to the newly elected Polish president. The goal is to confirm the deep Czech-Polish partnership and express the conviction that cooperation between the two countries will remain strong and strategic even after the presidential transition. Czech-Polish relations rest on a solid foundation, with cultural, geographical, and historical proximity playing a significant role in deepening cooperation.
Czech-Polish relations have long been at a very good level, which is confirmed not only by regular dialogue between the leaders of the two countries but also by growing economic cooperation. Poland is the Czech Republic’s second-largest trading partner, and the mutual exchange of goods continues to grow dynamically. Cooperation takes place in infrastructure, automotive, chemical, and engineering industries, as well as in digitalization and green technologies. Both countries also share a common stance on Ukraine’s future within the European Union.
Although there are areas with potential tensions — for example, regarding the approach to the green transition, where Poland has been vocally critical of some measures — in practice, both countries are making similar investments, such as in renewable energy sources and wind power.
