Assisting Independent Media and CSOs in Enhancing the Access to Reliable Information on the European Union and EU Enlargement on Social Media in Armenia

The aim of the project is to provide access to reliable information about the European Union and its enlargement process in the Armenian social media environment.
31. December 2025

The project focuses on the reliable information accessible about the European Union and the EU enlargement process in the Armenian social media landscape. Implemented jointly by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy from Prague and Public Journalism Club from Yerevan, the project is to support independent media and civil society organizations from Armenia in the assessment of such content in their awareness raising and advocacy work, with the aim to diversify and enhance the access to such content amongst social media users in Armenia.

Through our outputs and activities, we will work closely with our partner for them to improve the social media information space on topics about the EU and the EU accession process both in terms of quality and quantity. In a highly charged social media landscape, where the competition of several actors for the support of the public relies on the dissemination of images, information and narratives, addressing this distinct problem is crucial in the information landscape of the Eastern Partnership countries in general, and Armenia in particular.
