Impacts of the EU Emissions Trading System 2
This project examines the potential impacts of the EU Emissions Trading System 2 (ETS2) on Europe’s most vulnerable households, with a particular focus on mitigating risks that could lead to public resistance against the EU’s transport decarbonization policies. Its activities aim to contribute to the mainstreaming of the concept of transport poverty, its causes and solutions, in the Czech context.

After three successful projects focusing on the decarbonization of the Czech automotive industry, the Green Europe team of EUROPEUM in collaboration with the Institute of Circular Economy (INCIEN) is broadening its focus and taking a more circular approach. This project will focus on better lifecycle and end-of-life management of materials used in vehicles and batteries. The collaboration will be split into two research areas.

RevivEU
RevivEU project, carried out by four leading institutions in the V4 countries, looks at the needs, concerns and fears of the V4 citizens in four various EU-related topics. It does so through both quantitative and qualitative research of citizens´ attitudes towards climate change, migration, covid-19 and the rule of law. It also analyses the governmental policies in these four main areas and how the communication of these policies is framed in the public discourse.

Think Visegrad conference - EU Enlargement Forum
On 10 and 11 April 2024, Prague will host a two-day conference entitled "20 Years of Reuniting Europe's East and West", organised by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the Think Visegrad platform and the project (Re)uniting the East and West: Reflections on the 2004 EU enlargement (REWEU) supported by the International Visegrad Fund and the European Commission. The programme will also include the second edition of the EU Enlargement Forum.

Even in the Czech Republic we can find a wide disinformation undergrowth that makes it difficult to know where the truth lies. What are the most common narratives around European issues in this country? What do we need to watch out for? At Europeum, we are launching a new project called DezInfoCzech aimed at uncovering the most common disinformation narratives around European topics.

Discussing Ukraine in V4 mainstream media: The future vis-à-vis European integration
The project assesses the production, distribution and consumption of news on Ukraine’s future vis-a-vis European integration by the V4 mainstream media. The aim is to designate both dominant and marginalized narratives, while also analyzing their impact via focus groups. The findings will be presented to stakeholders in order to improve reporting and increase the audiences’ access to information.

Third year | Decarbonisation of the Czech automotive industry
The climate team of EUROPEUM is currently delivering the 3rd year of its project focused on the decarbonisation of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. We want to build upon our experience and move this work forward with a more targeted approach.
