In Europe populist and far-right parties strengthened in several member states. The European elections brought changes at the national level. European elections have not had such a significant impact on the national level until now to derive such fundamental political consequences from them. However, the coalition of the three largest parties, the People's Party, Socialists, and Liberals, will continue to have a comfortable majority for negotiating further mandates.
