Leon Tóth is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Charles University. He specializes in European Union law and constitutional law, specifically in issues of legitimacy and the rule of law.
Since 2021, he has worked in the European Affairs Section of the Office of the Government. In his role as coordinator, he led the National Convention on the EU, a permanent platform for expert discussion and interdisciplinary dialogue on European issues in the Czech Republic. During the Czech Republic’s presidency of the Council of the EU, he served as a liaison officer.
He also has extensive experience in research and policy analysis related to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). His primary focus is on his native Hungary. In the past, he also collaborated with the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic, particularly in the areas of communications and building partnership networks focused on youth engagement.
He has long been involved in participatory projects, many of which he has implemented. He is a proud non-formal education instructor at the non-profit organization Eutis, where he fulfills his mission of promoting active citizenship as one of the faces of the “Decide on Europe” program.
At EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, he is in charge of the long-term project “The Czech Republic in 2050.” He oversees the project’s implementation, communication, and coordination of the network of ambassadors.
