Project Coordinator a and Analyst

Maria has worked in EUROPEUM's Global Europe team since May 2025 as a Project Coordinator and Analyst for the Eastern Partnership region and the Russian Federation. She focuses on EU relations with the region, Ukraine reconstruction, Russian influence in the EU, countering disinformation, and resilience building. Previously, she worked for almost three years at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where she covered bilateral Czech-Ukrainian relations, engagement of the business sector, and the organization of the Czech-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission, as well as EU sanctions against the Russian Federation and Belarus. She has visited Ukraine twice since the beginning of the Russian aggression as part of business missions.

She graduated with a Master's degree in Russian and Eurasian Studies at the Institute of International Area Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. During this time, she spent one semester at the University of Helsinki, specializing in Russian Studies. She speaks Czech, English, French, and Russian and is learning Ukrainian and Finnish.
