Zuzana Stuchlíková

Head of Green Europe programme (parental leave)

Zuzana Stuchlíková began her work at the Institute for European Policy in 2013, and from 2017 until May 2020 she led our Brussels office. She has experience with both the Czech and British public administrations — she was involved in the preparations for the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2022 and currently works at the British Embassy in Prague. She focuses on issues of climate and decarbonization, institutional matters of European integration, and Czech European policy.

Zuzana studied International Territorial Studies and Media at Charles University in Prague for her bachelor's degrees. She obtained her master's degree in the European Studies program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University (FSV UK), during which she also completed a study stay at Sciences Po Paris in 2014. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Department of European Studies at FSV UK and also as an intern at the Trans European Policy Studies Association in Brussels.

Vít Havelka and Zuzana Stuchlíková from EUROPEUM Institute for European policy conducted an analysis of the activity of the Czech MEPs during the 2014–2019 term. The analysis combines quantitative and qualitative methods of research (including the interviews). The text contains, for example, the factors influencing MEPs' success, the impact of the national interests on their work, evaluations and recommendations.
