The early parliamentary elections in France were surprisingly won by the united left, defeating the far-right party of Marine Le Pen. On the European level, she is now expected to join the newly formed Patriots for Europe party in the European Parliament. The connection, as declared by Andrej Babiš or Viktor Orbán, will be national interests. From my point of view, that is where the biggest problem arises, because each political party interprets national interests in a completely different way and there will often be inconsistencies.
