ČT24 | Denmark takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Denmark and the other Scandinavian countries do not see competitiveness and green issues as opposites with a choice between one or the other, they see the issues in the way that for Europe to be competitive and for our businesses to prosper, we need to strengthen our climate neutrality and not be dependent on fossil fuel imports from abroad. Under its Presidency, Denmark plans to continue investing in renewable energy, in the electrification of industry and in promoting research and innovation in green technologies.
Another of the Danish Presidency's priorities is to follow Poland in simplifying the legislation and requirements imposed on European businesses in order to make them more competitive and greener.
