At the summit in Brussels, the European Union heads of state and government agreed to speed up the return of failed asylum seekers back to their countries. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of EUROPEUM Institute, commented for Radio Prostor.

The atmosphere has changed significantly. What was true during the migration crisis, that there are some deep trenches and that some countries are directly open to incoming applicants, is no longer true. That is what happened in Germany in 2015. That open arms, that is long gone.
