Seznam Zprávy | The EU has negociated a pact that will save it billions and reduce its dependence on China and the US

The European Union has signed a trade agreement with Indonesia. However, it will not be easy for European exporters to break into this rapidly growing market, where they will face strong competition from China and the US. The agreement must now undergo an approval process by the member states. Filip Křenek, EUROPEUM Institute analyst commented for Seznam Zprávy.

This is a relatively new market for Europe in terms of car exports, for example. European car manufacturers are in a difficult situation, and a new market in an emerging country that is growing both economically and demographically is therefore of interest to them. Indonesia's population is expected to grow by tens of millions in the coming decades. The attractiveness of the market will be further enhanced by the fact that China is located in the region and there will be fierce competition among exporters to see if they can succeed there.
