Televizní Noviny | Increasing defence spending as a result of the European Council summit

Thursday's summit of EU leaders resulted in unanimous agreement on the need to prioritise security. Martin Vokálek, Executive Director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for Televizní noviny.

The system can work by member states jointly issuing bonds at a much lower interest rate, and the money from the bonds can then be invested in developing their defence capabilities.
