Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will, if they win, call on the EU to play a greater role in shaping international policies. Danielle Piatkiewicz, research fellow at EUROPEUM Institute, commented for Teraz.sk.

Candidates' approaches will differ significantly. Harris, if she wins, is likely to seek to deepen transatlantic cooperation and strengthen institutions such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The Trump administration will likely continue to pressure NATO allies to meet or exceed their defense spending commitments.
