She also discussed the consequences of the recent attack on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and highlighted the growing polarization of Slovak society and the potential threat to media independence.

The situation is difficult in Slovakia at the moment. On the one hand, we have the opposition expressing sympathy for the Prime Minister. On the other hand, we have government representatives blaming liberals and the media for what happened. Unfortunately, we can expect government measures against media independence, against certain NGOs, as well as further polarization of Slovak society.
