TA3 | Trump imposed tariffs on the whole world, 20% on the EU

Donald Trump has essentially declared a trade war on the entire world, including his closest allies to date. He has long referred to Europe as a competitor, but now he treats us as an enemy. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for ta3.

Donald Trump is running his politics like a reality show. American voters remain convinced that other countries are stealing from America, which is why the US is in economic trouble. Despite the potential economic consequences, the move is a major political and marketing success for Donald Trump.

Tariffs can potentially lead to major economic problems, depending on how individual countries respond, whether they impose retaliatory tariffs, which would be logical to avoid further and harsher tariff increases.
