Debate | Will Canada Become the 28th Member State of the EU?

Following the breakdown of trade negotiations between Canada and the U.S., Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will travel to Strasbourg, where he will address members of the European Parliament. That same week will also feature the annual State of the European Union address by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. What does the current rapprochement between Canada and the EU mean? What is the future of relations between Europe and North America?
