Debate | Burnout at Work – Is It a Problem in Europe?

Work stress, overload and digital monitoring threaten employees’ health. Join us at Europa Experience on 12 October to discuss prevention.
12. October 2026

Rising work-related stress, excessive workloads, and the growing use of digital technologies, algorithmic management, and employee performance monitoring are posing an increasing challenge to workers’ mental and physical health. The European Parliament has called for stronger European rules on the prevention of psychosocial risks in the workplace, including regular psychosocial risk assessments and more effective preventive measures.

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day (10 October), we are organising a public debate at Europa Experience with Members of the European Parliament and experts to discuss how these risks can be prevented and what role employers, employees, and public institutions should play.

WHEN? Monday, 12 October, from 5:00 PM
WHERE? Europa Experience – Národní 10, Prague 1

Our guests:
Nikola Bartůšek, Member of the European Parliament
Jana Krejzová, psychologist, influencer, and author of @czechpsychologist
Vít Jásek, CEO of  Union of Employers' Associations of the Czech Republic

Moderated by Zuzana Stuchlíková from the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy.
