Ambition vs. Reality: What Will the EU’s 2040 Climate Targets Bring?
Members of the European Parliament and EU member states have voted on their positions regarding the EU’s 2040 climate targets and will soon begin negotiating their final form. The goal of reducing emissions by up to 90% compared to the 1990s represents an ambitious plan for a more sustainable future. However, critics warn about economic impacts and rising costs. How will the adoption of this target affect Czech industry and citizens’ everyday lives? And are we ready for Europe’s green transition?
