The topic
The Pew Research Center will present a report with results of the survey that explores public attitudes about the past, present, and future of Europe in 17 nations, including both Western and Eastern European countries, as well as Ukraine, Russia and the United States. The report also examines attitudes toward democratic rights and institutions, such as a fair judiciary, gender equality, freedom of religion, and free expression.
Among others, it also covers the degree to which people are satisfied or dissatisfied with the functioning of their country’s democracy. The report also analyzes whether publics are primarily optimistic or pessimistic about a range of issues, including inequality, education, and the functioning of their political system, as well as their country’s relationships with the United States and other European nations.
