The Competitiveness Compass, now presented by the European Commission, shows where to go to keep the EU strong, innovative and independent. Support for research, education and innovation at the highest level is essential for the new plan. Only these can drive European manufacturing and industry in the long term. The new strategy for advanced materials, steel and the circular economy will help European companies to innovate, cut costs and produce more sustainably, strengthening their global competitiveness.
