Deník N | EU to End Russian Gas Imports by 2027 as Commission Sidesteps Slovak and Hungarian Vetoes

According to the proposal, the EU will gradually stop all imports of Russian gas and oil by the end of 2027, analyst Zuzana Krulichová of the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy commented for Deník N.

I would also interpret this as a longer-term issue - at the negotiations in Brussels, but also given the internal political situation in Slovakia and Hungary, it can be expected that the situation will not change easily, and so the European Commission is coming up with a longer-term plan to address the recurring situation.
