Radiožurnál | The Industrial Accelerator Act is intended to support the development of green European industry

The European Commission has unveiled long-awaited measures to strengthen European industry and keep pace with China in the field of so-called clean technologies. In an evening news program on Radiožurnál, Rebeka Hengalová, a researcher at EUROPEUM Institute, discussed what the Industrial Accelerator Act entails and what protections it will provide for so-called green products manufactured in the EU.

This Act establishes new rules and regulations governing, for example, how to handle heavy industry—such as so-called green steel, aluminum, and cement—how to conduct public procurement, and which sectors should be targeted for state aid. I see this as a clear step toward strengthening European industry.
